Each year, Fekete Zaj Festival hosts the most peculiar and unusual performances in the shade of the Mátra mountain peak. Fekete Zaj is a celebration of independent music, community, diversity and the discovery of nature; a passage between the familiar and the unknown.
About the diversity of the festival
We aim to push the boundaries of sound. Our musical programme covers a wide range of genres from darkwave to post-punk to experimental electronica and more extreme metal. In addition to international headliners, dozens of local artists represent the obscure music scene every year.
In addition to the concerts, workshops, talks and screenings will help to dive deeper into the spirit of Fekete Zaj, while performances, contemporary art installations and community programmes will bring fans closer together. You can join yoga classes, group hikes or even go mushroom hunting in the forest, all set in the beautiful surroundings of the Mátra mountain range.
If you're looking to immerse yourself in noise-filled Zaj concerts before the festival, you don't have to wait until the end of July: we'll be bringing concerts to Budapest and underground clubs in other cities during the club season. The club concerts not only evoke the atmosphere of the summer festival, but also give you the chance to enjoy smaller, more intimate musical experiences. Check out our concert calendar!
