We warmly welcome applications for the 2026 Fekete Zaj Festival from anyone who would like to be part of the unique world of Zaj and contribute to bringing the festival to life as a volunteer.
As in previous years, it’s important to us to build an enthusiastic, open, and supportive volunteer team who, working behind the scenes, help make every moment of the festival smooth and memorable.
We’re looking for applicants who are happy to help across a variety of areas, whether it’s entry control, information points, merchandise sales, or even more exciting backstage tasks and supporting the overall operation of the festival site. Previous experience is not required, but a sense of responsibility, flexibility, resilience, and strong teamwork skills are essential.
Our goal is to create a supportive and inspiring environment together, where volunteers become an integral part of the festival and leave with lasting experiences.

We warmly welcome program proposals for Fekete Zaj 2026 from any creative artist or collective who feels they could entertain the Zaj community with a program that fits the festival’s spirit during the pre-concert time slots.
Just like last year, we would once again like to provide space for civil and cultural organizations, as social engagement remains an important value for the festival.
This year, our focus turns toward creators and artisans. We would like to enrich the festival with a “Fekete Piac” (“Black Market”), where makers will have the opportunity to sell their products every day. In addition to the market, we also plan to further develop the festival’s inner area with installations, for which we are seeking works under the theme “Belső Zaj” (“Inner Noise”).
We are looking for creators and artisans who can add color to the festival through workshops, talks, exhibitions, and installations.
Our goal is to create a meaningful, shared experience for Zaj visitors.

The application deadline has passed. We are no longer accepting applications. We expect to reopen the applications for 2027 during the fall of 2026. Keep an eye on our page!
For next summer’s Fekete Zaj, we’re looking for acts that dare to be different: from the deepest layers of the underground to the most unique experiments, from dark melodies to strangely beautiful sounds, we welcome your applications!
We especially encourage you to prepare sets tailored for Zaj, as well as special collaborations – these will be given priority during the selection!
